LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRE

APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN CANADA

FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER

Send photocopies of all documents ( the photocopies need not be certified) You must have the originals in your possession. In certain cases, we may need to see the originals.

An official translation into English or French, please submit your documents in order in which they are listed below

1.     Application for Permanent residence forms Generic, Schedule 1 and 3 and additional family information form

u     Every completed form must be sent in duplicated ( the original and a photocopy) and must be duly signed and dated.

u     A total of 3 photographs of each person in the specified format, with the family name, given name(s) and date of birth written on the back. Please refer to the documents. “ Photograph Specifications” in this kit. One Photo per person must be stapled to the IMM0008 Generic form in the space reserved for this purpose. All the other photos must be placed in an envelop and stapled to the IMM 0008 Generic form.

2      Proof of Language Ability for Principal Applicant

A copy for approved test results for knowledge for English and/ or French OR Written of your proficiency in English and/ or French

For important information concerning evidence of language proficiency. Please see the instruction for completing the Schedule 3 Form.

3      Proof of Relationship in Canada

If you have a father or mother or brother/ sister. Uncle or aunt./ grandfather or grandmother, nephew/niece , child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada, please provide proof of your relationship ( such as birth, adoption or marriage certificates)} and proof of that person’s status in Canada  ( such a photocopy of his or her Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship card, Record of Landing ( IMM1000) or Permanent Resident Card.

4      Proof of Education and Work Experience for Principal Applicant and Spouse or Common law Partner

Diploma(s) and educational certificates

If you , your spouse or common – law partner , after the age of 17 years, completed a program of full study of at least 2 year’s duration at post-secondary institution in Canada, please provide a copy of the certificate or diploma And a copy of the student permit.

Letter(s ) of reference must be prepared on official letterhead and signed by an identified responsible officer or supervision. Letter must include all of the followings information.

The specific period of employment with the company

The position(s) held during the period of employment and the time spend in each position.

Your main responsibilities in each position and

Your total annual salary at the time of your employment

If you can not provide a letter of reference from your current employer please provide written explanation

If you are currently working in Canada, please provide a copy of temporary work permit

If you have an offer of employment that has been approved by the Department of Human Resource Development ( HRDC) please provide a copy of the offer and the approval.

If you, your accompany spouse or common law partner have worked in Canada in the past for at least on year full time , please provide a copy of the temporary work permit.

5            Settlement Funds

Proof of sufficient funds for establishment in Canada for yourself and your accompany dependants ( e g. Recent bank statements, letter from your financial institution) These funds must be readily transferable to Canada in a convertible currency)
